Any opinions on these, saw one at Ocean State Job Lot for $400 yesterday. I was wondering if it would be stable enough for salt?
Thanks in advance.

That should be stable enough for most salt water applications. When buying one of the cheaper big box store type kayaks just make sure to give it the once over thoroughly and maybe a twice over as well. Check it out for defects or leaks before the 30 day no questions asked return policy expires. Making sure they have a warranty isn’t a bad idea either.

Not trying to paint a negative picture of these boats as all manufactures have a few bad boats come off the line every now and then but sometimes the molding/manufacturing process is a little less refined and they tend to inspect the boats “less thoroughly”. The bottom line though is if you get one without any issues it should work fine for you and last for years.
