Billy that is a great looking salmon. must have been hard for bob casting uphill all the time though great job catching, but that is usually what happens when you go out with the Maximus!!

Ok how can i make this more intresting...................................... We finaly get to were we are going and start hiking down the fire road , we get about a 1/4 of a mile and find we are covered in ticks and we have yet to leave the main trail. I was half way prepeaired by soaking my pants in some kind of tick replelant about a week ago.Bobs got white sneakers on so we can see all the ticks ...............fast forward leftys walking in the water with soking wet feet and I keep laughing everytime I hear him step in the water. Bob ...what are you laughing at Me... You in the water Bob... thers no ticks in the water Me... makes since, splash splash Now bobs on to a couple os smallys and I keep splashing along throwing every thing I got NOTHING I do have this X-Rap that I have never caught anything on and start casting it at this one point of rocks When BANG I have this Salmon dancing out in the water.when I do finaly land this thing HE IS PISSED just keeps flapping around knocking himself sinseless on the rocks but just does not stop Thats why I have the kung fo grip on this fish in the picture I go to release him after my photo oop and I it goes belly up 15 min.later of resesitation (seemed longer) he swims off. Fast forward ... I tie on this pumpkinseed jig head that I bought 2 days ago for $1 I figure it looks kind of murky the water is rock mossy murky ,4or6 cast later no more then 6 ' from Shore I see this small mouth following it in. I stop reeling and give the line a quick set and Its Fish on After a nice little fight this fish just lies there and lets me take pictures of him He was released with no problems We did have an apperance by JOE who came and through some HOGY sand eels to no avail All and all thats my story and I,m sticking to it (wow my fingers are soar From typing)

Tough day at the res!! Had alittle trouble finding the exact spot Mark has brought me and others in the past.finally found it started the trek in.As soon as Bill mentioned ticks I started to itch.As I glanced down I could see my sneakers covered with the little buggers!!The water is higher than in nyears past and right up against the bushes.Every ten stepd and I do a tick search and find them on me.Screw that !! Into the water I go they're gonna have to swim to get me.We worked our butts off today. We ended up further than I've been before amnd worked alot of shoreline rocky points and cliffs.Getting to these spots with the high water was brutal.Climb a cliff, walk the high tree line path then find a spot you can safely descend without falling 30 feet. Better suited for a billygoat!! Paid of for Bill though with a nice salmon and bruiser sally!! 2 smallies for me today. When I got home I took my clothes off on the back porch.Checked out good. Getting into the shower I pulled off my bvd's and found tick embedded just inches from the family jewels!!Great road trip cept for the ticks.

Here are my pics (less blurry) from the trip with Mark. The first of my smallies was over 4# the second was under 3#. As always great fight with a multiple jumps. Both hit mu lure relatively close to shore.

After reading bb post I immediately took my pants and shirt off ...Thankfully I found only one tick crawling on my back.
