Saw this Lantern in Walmart --Weather Ready By Eveready look really well built for 16.99.Only thing it took 3D batteries to run it.May be to heavy to put no top of a pole for the yak. Anybody see this Lantern? Waterproof--500hr Life on one set of batteries,only thing the bottom is 4 in. round.My be to big.Let me know that you think,if you see it. Sully

Sounds a bit big and heavy, but could probably work if you really wanted it to.

Too big ... too heavy and probably way too bright. it will halo you ... meaning you will see everything around you for 7-10 feet and then be blinded to the night beyond. Go smaller and less bright.
