just want to say thank you to roger and mark from team hobie and this great site i just got a 7 or 8 hour fishing demo with a hobie revo. that i liked vary much this is a great set up as stable as my wilderness pungo with more freedom to more around. legs over the side sitting side saddle is great vary nice yak. i was vary happy with the handling and speed.i spent a good 3 hours in it and had a blast. hands free fishing, trolling being able to keep the rod in my hand and feel every thing. hits i would not have felt with the rod in a rod holder while paddling my pungo. then roger gave me a chance in the new pro angler. at first it looked so big i had to think about how i was going to get into it do i stand inside it and sit down or sit side saddle into it .and that is what i did and it worked fine.there was all kinds of room in this thing to stow all my gear where it was protected and at hand when i need it.i had the freedom to peddel around take my feet out of the peddles and stretch my legs out and fish in comfort.i really think i would of had no problem standing in it.though i did'nt dare.i was'nt going to take a chance on swimming.the handling of this boat or yak is fantastic for it's size and weight capasity it moves right along with no more effort than the revo.the room and comfort just seams right for me.when i go out fishing i'm out most of the day.in the pungo after a while i start getting stiff and there's no place to move around.in the pro angler that's not a problem.i'll work with the added weight out of the water to be this relaxed in the water.again trolling hands free is the way to go.roger, mark and myself caught some nice fish .largemouth, smallies, pickrel and perch.mark had the hobie adventure with the mirage drive and the sail he took all the work out of it.you never knew when he was going to catch a wind and be off trolling around with no effort at all.looked like a blast.mark tryed to get me to try it out.but i'm just not a sailor.i love kayak fishing.once i got into that pro angler i did'nt want to get out of it.i did not know either of these gentleman and i mean gentlemen.i posted a question on this site this post.and this is the response i got.an invitation to go fishing and demo the two kayak's i had intrest in.thank you to team hobie and nekf site.great group of guy's looking foward to meeting more of you.i am going to the dark side!!! hobie pro angler is in my future.

Chris. If you are serious about that we could work out a demo for you. Let me know. Maybe Contoocook would work but I would have to make sure it would fit on their trailer. Some other time might be better.

Sully, all of the Mirage series are different animals with varying strengths and weaknesses. Like frogmanch mentioned, it's best to try them and see how well it would fit your needs and wants. Spending a day on the water like Bob did is a great way to get to know them. When are you coming?
