Digital camera advice?

Postby slappy » Tue Sep 06, 2005 8:15 pm

What are you guys using for digital cameras on the water?

I want something very cheap. I got a really cheap one, but after about 2 trips it stopped working.

I am banned from taking our good one.

What to do?

Cheap is good. The quality of shots with a cheap or out of date digital is still fine for our purposes. I bought a HP735 photosmart 3.2 megapixel last year for $100 at Staples. It listed for a lot more but was a returned and refurbished item.

Most important is keeping it dry and clean. I keep mine in a dry box and only take it out for brief periods and try to handle it as little as possible. I also like one that works on double As since I always have extra rechargeables to run all my electronics except FF.
