Looking into getting a radio just trying to get some opinions on models and prices thanks in advance for any help.

Well just grabbed standard horizon hx290 for $119.00 at West Marine it's water proof and it floats and glows in the dark any comments?

i got a Uniden water resistant(not water proof) from cabelas or bass pro. cant remember how much but not more than 150..probably less. Had it three seasons and its fine. I just keep it looped to my zipper and tucked in my vest pocket.

I have had a Standard Horizon HX751 for a year and a half now. Works great, solid radio.
