I've recently gotten a sea kayak and I plan to to some fishing from it around the Lieutenant Island area in Welfleet. Does anyone have experience fishing these parts? I plan to go out around the Audubon beach and cruise the mud flats where the water is between 5 and 8 feet then head into the Silver Spring bay to ply the edge of the marsh. I'm just not sure what I can expect to catch and if anything what i should look out for. I would imagine I could find flounder in the flats and bass nearer to the marsh but I've never done anything like this before so it's all guesswork.

while not familiar with that area, flounder have usually moved to deeper, colder water by this time, try dragging a tube and worm for stripers and/or bluefish. once you find fish, you can cast other lures to them. good luck
